This has got to be one of the best things I have ever done!  I didn't start bootcamp with any intention of "losing weight" or body fat.  I didn't really know how bad my diet was before this either.  4 weeks in i have had a body fat percentage drop of 16.7% - all because I have made the right choices and cut out the processed crap.  I have learned that if you want to make changes for the better, it's all about making the right choices, particularly when it comes to food.  Bootcamp is not all about the exercise, it's about clean healthy eating and changing your lifestyle completely.  It's not some temporary "diet" that you'll only do for a while.  It's a constant learning process and all of this is made so much easier by the excellent support, encouragement and nutritional advice you receive from the 3 fab Personal Trainers, meeting new POSITIVE people who help each other along the way.  4 weeks down, 8 more to go!  If you want to make changes, permanent changes, get your butt along to Core Fitness Shed Bootcamp & Personal Training.

Probably the longest I've ever stuck to anything and I must say I've grown to love the torture!  People are noticing changes already so I can't wait to see where I'm at by week 12!  Laura M

So... most people go to bootcamp to reduce body fat, change their shape and become leaner (me included).  However, the benefits I have found completely override this and have become more important for me for the long term rather than a fitness fad or "diet".  Overall I feel so much healthier, stronger, and full of energy (the weights I can now lift prove that).  My nutrition has improved beyond belief and although it took a wee while to adjust, due to years of embedded irrational food fears and calorie counting, perseverance pays off - this has altered for life and I will NEVER again fear good, REAL food.  My iron levels are no longer so low I have to worry about the constant possibility of transfusions and I am happier, much much happier.  I could not have come so far on my wee journey without the support of the community of bootcampers and trainers there.  I have made some exceptionally good friends for life there too... who I look forward to training with in the future.  Fitness & health is so important, I am glad I have invested in mine now after years of abuse and what a difference it has made to me already.  I have been educated through bootcamp and can now make wise decisions in relation to my wellbeing and health.  Loving it and sooooo looking forward to what the next 8 weeks, months and years will bring on my extended journey. :)

I have to say on a positive that I still don't hanker after crap food despite being off the exercise regime for almost 2.5 weeks and not eating totally clean but still 90% healthy with hols etc, life changing indeed!  I've noticed my metabolism has really improved.  On holiday I met up with someone who hadn't seen me since February this year and said I'd taken 10 years off me with whatever I was doing, so thanks to your changing my way of life it's clearly working!

I have more get up and go than I ever had!  One massive benefit I have said from week 1 is that every day you wake up feeling the exact same and it's always a great feeling!  Never do you feel sluggish, bloated, tired, sore head… the list could go on with negative impacts of processed foods!  But each day when I wake up I am ready to get up and have loads of energy until I know that it's time for bed!  Chuffed to bits with this, this feeling alone is enough to motivate me to keep this up forever!

I firmly believe I have put a demon away for life, I really do.  No interest in crisps, fast food, non nutritional stuff.  No real cravings anymore, not even for a crispy roll and sausage when I come home.  However I think I'm developing an imaginary friend who keeps me going when my muscles are giving in during the session. Commmme on keep goinggggg!!!  I sometimes think after the first superset that I could pack the weights back onto the stand and disappear out of the gym, but don't obviously lol.  See you Friday.  It's amazing how the sceptics of diet have slagged me for weeks on eating etc and now nod appreciatively.  Looking forward to the journey continuing.  Huge change in me and my attitude too.  Glad to have met you.  I really am

Genuinely feel that gaining more knowledge under your guidance has been the most worthwhile thing I have ever done with regards to training.  Complete overhaul of what I thought I knew and now understanding a better approach.  Again to reiterate I feel this has been the most beneficial thing I have done in a long time and appreciate all the help thus far - 8 weeks and I've noticed the best change in my body EVER to be honest.

__________

I've been sticking to similar days to the original food diary I sent you and I'm loving what I'm eating.  I'm also starting to notice a difference in my clothes and things that didn't used to fit me are now comfortable!  I'm so pleased I signed up for this Pat, without being too O.T.T. lol, it's already changed my life and I feel 100% better in myself already! Love this!!

Enjoyed today's workout again!  Hard going and feeling it now, but feel good for it!  Feeling a complete change all over now and as opposed to feeling as though its a diet I just feel like its more of a lifestyle now and loving it!  My whole attitude to food has completely changed!  Being honest I used to dread meal times, being of the opinion that calories going in must mean that I have to do more to get rid of them, and as a result was eating mouse size portions and as little of them as I could, and then exercising as much as i could until i was drained and burnt out!  Now I look forward to each meal and enjoy a full portion of good, clean food!

Aside from the physical changes that I can see and feel I just feel an overall mental change!  I feel lighter minded, and stress free.  My sleep at night has improved a lot as well.  I used to be shattered mid afternoon then come night time would end up sitting up all night watching TV because I couldn't sleep.  These days come half 9, 10 o'clock I'm shattered and ready to go to bed and get straight to sleep!  Iv been training for years and have never found the mental and physical results as I have with your training!  Really appreciate all your help!

I have been on anti depressants for over a year after a really hard few years and in the past 6 weeks I have lowered the dose and managed to be off them for 2 weeks. I chose just now to come off them because the bootcamp has made such an improvement to my mood its really great coming to the classes ... You guys obviously love your jobs and it's been really excellent getting to this point and feeling so strong. I will defo be signing up for the next block to tone up properly now I'm feeling much better in my head. Thanks a lot for your help

"Hi Pat just thought I would give you some feedback inspired by your recent post....before I started the bootcamp I was totally stressed out at work (and have been for years) working really long hours, including through the night and didn't think I had time to make real food or even go to a supermarket to get it and ended up getting midnight takeaways all the time on the way home, eating that crap really late at night and then crawling into bed for minimal stressed disturbed sleep. Not only has bootcamp forced me to leave the office by about 630 but during the shorter hours I am in work I have been more focused, productive and way less tired. I'm also sleeping longer too. It has also really helped with the stress and I am now more able to put things in perspective and realise that I do have time to do things other than work in the evenings and make time to cook real food! I, again for years due to being stressed and run down, permanently had a sore throat and swollen glands - this has now completely disappeared. I am also fitting into clothes that haven't fit me in years and tonight after bootcamp saw a friend who I haven't seen in a few months and the first thing she said was "omg look how much weight you've lost" - like many others I can't see such a big difference but it must be! Anyway thanks for your help and feel free to post if this would help anyone

If I can manage anyone can! I hadn't done any exercise for years before I started, the trainers are absolutely amazing, they encourage you to work your hardest but your ability is met really well and pushed at a reasonable pace, you achieve exactly what you want to and what is work for! The only thing is...it doesn't get easier haha! I am still waiting and I am 3 weeks from the end! Haha

I'm so pleased I've gone from a size 12 to 10. A big thank you once again, weeks has it’s been tough but I've loved it, definitely keeping up the change in eating and working out. I went to have my gym program changed last weekend and have now ventured to the 'man zone' for weights and feel confident, an area I would never have gone 12 weeks ago. Huge thank you again , I've got more out the last 12 weeks than I've got from years in the gym !

___________

Well pat, what an experience!! I am now at my heaviest weight (10 stone) but never felt so good! I'm a size ten, feel lean and tight and very very strong! Bootcamp changed the way I eat and live. You have been an awesome coach and provided so much support and nutritional advice - thank you. It has been incredible!! The support you have given outside bootcamp has enabled me to overhaul my diet and lifestyle - 12 weeks of eating clean and body and mind feels awesome. Great banter on training nights too and met some ace new friends."

Here's all the stats just to make you feel even better about what you have done! Weight 15st 3lbs to 12st 9lbs, body fat 44% to 29%. from week 5 until now total loss in cms from arms 3cms, waist 12cms, stomach 17cms, thighs 8cms and calfs 5cms. Went from wearing a size 16 (18 at times) to now finding 14s comfortable and even managed to buy a good few 12s. Before bootcamp I went to phototherapy for my skin twice a week for nearly 2 years, since starting bootcamp I have managed to stop going and didn't have a single complaint about my skin at all (long may that continue). I'm fitter, stronger, happier and healthier and would still be stuck in the old rut I was in if it wasn't for your motivation, encouragement and belief. Thanks

___________

Would just like to say a massive thank u to u guys for everything , I can't believe how good I feel rite now and feeling so much more confident!!!! As said previously I can't recommend u enough to everyone.

Best decision I ever made ! Total change of lifestyle with eating, fitness and health. Thank you so much to Patrick, Ally and Kev for keeping me going when I thought I genuinely couldn't get off the floor. And to all the girls I've met through the bootcamp, we have done it!! So pleased with my progress. It's not all about looking trimmer, I feel so much more healthier with more energy and my acne has totally disappeared. The bootcamp and the eating change is the best thing I have ever done fitness wise and I'm definitely going to stick at it. No going back now. First time I've ever looked forward to 'exercising' each night the bootcamp would be on and never thought I'd enjoy something which makes me sweat so much. Thanks again pat, your bootcamp has made me one happy girl.

I'm chuffed with the difference in my photos and delighted to know I've gone from 28% to 23%(ish) body fat. Although like you said I can see the difference myself so not overly bothered about the accuracy of the weigh in! When I started  I didn't really buy into the whole lifestyle change but the past 12 weeks have changed my attitude. I find the "diet" easy to stick to now, bar the occasional sweetie and plan on continuing it! I've absolutely loved bootcamp, the atmosphere and people are great ! So happy with my final photo!

Hi Pat. Down 2 dress sizes to size 10 (never been a 10!) what a difference 12 weeks makes! Cannot believe the transformation in body and mind. Education and encouragement is the core of the bootcamp and is the key to its success! I feel so lucky to have had the chance to challenge myself and actually make a change, rather than half heartedly go to the gym and make little or no progress. Thank you!

___________

It's not been easy but that's all part of the challenge. I've learned so much about how clean eating is essential if you want to change, not just physically but your long term health which many fail to comprehend probably due to the kind of society we live in. Everyone's obsessed with looking "skinny" and go the wrong way about getting there.

___________

After years and years of eating junk, fad diets, not eating at all, I now understand what to eat and "listen to your body"as you say is right.

___________

I'm so glad I done this, it’s the best I have felt in years, I eat more food now than ever before, I've got more energy and am more positive. I don't care what the scales say anymore as I know myself I've made personal progress which I'm really pleased with. I don't listen to the nae-sayers anymore(I got a lot of criticism from some people at the start of bootcamp -probably because they're jealous).People who are negative are the ones who can't do it themselves.

So just thought I'd share some positive vibes with you cause I feel brilliant
